2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
1 cup chocolate chips*
In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. In separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Combine with dry ingredients. Add chocolate chips, if you wish. Pour batter into lightly greased 9 x 5 loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 65 minutes. Let cool for ten minutes and turn out onto a wire rack. Add 1/4 cup flour extra at high altitudes.
